“Intermodal Transport and Development Projects” and 6th Conference “Ports and Waterways” - POWA

Regional conference “Intermodal Transport and Development Projects” was held 12 - 13 October 2011 in Zagreb (Croatian Chamber of Economy), organised by the Intermodal Transport Cluster and the Croatian Chamber of Economy, under the auspices of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure.

Conference was opened by Capt. Mario Babić, State Secretary for the Sea.

First day conference programme was dedicated to the current status of intermodal transport in the Republic of Croatia.

Second day included presentations of EU funds FP7, TEN-T, Marco Polo II, IPA (Adriatic, SEE, MED), CIP, and Operational Programme for Transport. Workshops provided opportunity for participants to exchange their experiences in EU funding and implementation of EU projects.

This conference also included the 6th International Scientific Conference “Ports and Waterways” – POWA, organised by the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences of the University of Zagreb, dedicated to the water and land transport issues. Conference was attended by the representatives of the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia: director Zvonko Gržetić, and assistant director Vinka Jurić.
