Objavljena 200-ta ćelija elektroničke navigacijske karte (ENC)

Dana 22. svibnja 2019. za službenu je upotrebu izdano 25 novih ćelija elektroničkih navigacijskih karata (ENC). Time je Hrvatski hidrografski institut (HHI) omogućio dostupnost i korištenje ukupno 207 ćelija ENC-a svih upotrebnih skupina, što najavljuje s posebnim zadovoljstvom i ponosom.

Prvi paket ENC-ova HHI je izdao prije 12 godina (veljača 2007.), i to za prioritetna područja namijenjena za plovidbu vrlo brzih brodova (High Speed Craft). Nastavio je s izdavanjem novih paketa prema utvrđenim prioritetima vodeći se kriterijima da se prvenstveno osigura pokrivenost plovidbenih područja SOLAS brodova u međunarodnoj plovidbi. Nakon što je u zadanom roku ostvario potpunu pokrivenost plovidbenih područja SOLAS brodova, HHI nastavlja s izradom i objavljivanjem novih ENC-ova za područja manjih luka i plovidbe manjih brodova (non-SOLAS) i jahti.

Uspostavom produkcije i distribucije službenih ENC-ova, HHI je uvelike doprinio unapređenju hidrografsko-navigacijskog elementa sigurnosti plovidbe, čime je ispunjena i međunarodno preuzeta obveza osiguravanja dostupnosti ENC-ova na brodovima do određenog roka, a za područje nadležnosti Republike Hrvatske na moru.
