The Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia released the official navigational publication Peljar, Jadransko more – hrvatska obala (Sailing Directions, Adriatic Sea – Croatian coast). Its content is in line with recommendations of the International Hydrographic Organization and with best practices of national hydrographic offices.

The sixth edition of Peljar is based on the data and information collected and processed by the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia. The described area covers the internal waters, the territorial sea, and the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Croatia. This publication includes plans, photos, and graphics to provide a complete view of navigation areas.

The publication is intended to be read as a whole, in conjunction with official navigational charts and other official publications issued by the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia (Radio Service, List of Lights and Fog Signals, Catalogue of Nautical Charts and Publications, Symbols and Abbreviations used on Charts).

We thank the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the staff of harbour master’s offices and port authorities, and all other maritime sector stakeholders for their support and helpful suggestions during the preparation of this publication.

The new edition of Peljar cancels the 2012 edition entitled Peljar I. Jadransko more – istočna obala (Sailing Directions I, Adriatic Sea – Eastern Coast).
