HHI representatives attend HYDRO 23 Conference

The Hydrographic Conference HYDRO 23 took place in Genoa, Italy, from 7 to 9 November 2023, organized by the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies (IFHS) and the Italian Hydrographic Society (IHS).

The conference focused on automation in hydrography (autonomous vessels) and the use of artificial intelligence in processing raw hydrographic data. Statuses and development plans of new IHO standards (S-100) were presented, as well as new seminars for hydrographers. Issues and challenges relating to sustainable underwater infrastructures were highlighted. Various manufacturers of hydrographic equipment and software participated in the conference.

The conference was attended by the HHI representatives Mara Tebaldi, Daniela Staničić, Marko Mlinar, and Duje Jelovina, who actively participated in discussions and exchange of knowledge and experience with delegates from other hydrographic offices and related institutions.
