HHI representatives at 32nd PRIMAR Advisory Committee Meeting

The 32nd PRIMAR Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting was held in Gdansk, Poland, from 4 to 6 November 2025. In addition to PRIMAR, this annual meeting gathered representatives from more than 20 hydrographic offices as well as the Director of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO). As the permanent PRIMAR member, Republic of Croatia was represented by Vinka Kolić Bubić, director of the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia.

The three-day meeting provided an overview of PRIMAR financial matters, strategic priorities until 2030, as well as progress report on completed and ongoing projects related to S-100 standards and new proposals on their extension.

Additionally, the meeting provided an overview of marketing activities and reports on the implementation of PRIMAR 2030 Strategy, highlighting PRIMAR’s support to its members and their shared efforts to achieve IHO strategic goals.

Report on the Canadian S-100 Sea Trials project for testing S-100 products was presented in addition to discussions on the development of new e-navigation services.
Croatia, as a long-time full PRIMAR member, uses PRIMAR tools and services aiming to ensure the top quality ENC and to ensure their availability to end users, including S-100 digital products.

About PRIMAR

PRIMAR is one of the world’s two regional ENC coordinating centres (RENC), operated in accordance with the WEND (Worldwide ENC Database) principles established by the IHO resolution. From an organizational point of view, PRIMAR is an intergovernmental multilateral cooperation of its full members. 
PRIMAR’s principal aim is to ensure a harmonized quality level of ENCs from different producer nations and make them available to end users on ships and other onshore and onboard services on a 24/7 basis. 

PRIMAR is a non-profit organization, investing the proceeds of the sale of ENCs in the maintenance of existing and development of new services and functionalities. In the context of technological solutions and many services which it provides, PRIMAR has been recognized as a leading RENC.
