The Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia (HHI) and the Folklore ensemble Jedinstvo have concluded a cooperation agreement. This partnership aims to intertwine, complement, and elevate the public profile of both institutions. It represents a singular fusion, merging the historic tradition of Adriatic hydrography with the rich intangible cultural heritage and folklore preserved by Jedinstvo.
To mark the 5th CIOFF International Folklore Festival Split 2026, running from 17 to 23 August 2026, Jedinstvo, with the support of HHI, is organising a public exhibition at the City Center one Split shopping mall. The primary objective of this venture is to raise awareness of the HHI’s enduring contributions. By utilising an accessible exhibition format, the project seeks to bring specialised scientific, technical, and cultural insights closer to the general public and local community. Furthermore, this initiative fosters the growth and refinement of both organisations in their core fields, bridging marine science, hydrography, and traditional culture in a novel and imaginative manner.
We invite residents and visitors alike to explore the exhibition at City Center one Split during the festival week and discover this remarkable narrative.
