'Riječki zaljev u Japanu' – Pomorske karte HHI-a na izložbi u Tokiju

U sklopu Međunarodne kartografske konferencije i generalne skupštine Međunarodnog kartografskog društva (International Cartographic Association - ICA), koje će se održati 15. – 20. srpnja 2019. u Tokiju (Japan), priprema se i izložba karata zemalja članica ICA-e.

Međunarodno kartografsko društvo (International Cartographic Association) je udruga nacionalnih kartografskih društava i organizacija, utemeljena 1959. u Bernu. Promiče kartografska dostignuća i nove tehnologije te unaprjeđuje znanost o kartografiji. Hrvatska je postala punopravnom članicom 1995. u Barceloni (sekcija za kartografiju pri Hrvatskom geodetskom društvu).

Hrvatsko kartografsko društvo je strukovna udruga kartografa i drugih osoba koje pokazuju posebno zanimanje za kartografiju, čiji je punopravni član i Hrvatski hidrografski institut.

Hrvatski hidrografski institut, sudjelovanjem u okviru Hrvatskog kartografskog društva, na izložbi će prezentirati segment pomorske kartografije u Republici Hrvatskoj predstavljanjem novih izdanja službenih pomorskih karata br. 15 Rijeka i br. 18 Luka Rijeka.

Svojim aktivnostima, između ostalog i izdavanjem službenih pomorskih karata, HHI doprinosi održavanju visoke razine hidrografsko-navigacijskog segmenta sigurnosti plovidbe tako što korisnicima na brodovima i brodicama pruža navigacijsko-sigurnosne podatke i informacije u svojim službenim izdanjima u analognom i digitalnom obliku.
