COASTAL CITIES WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PROJECT 2 IBRD 7640/HR CONTRACT: MENP/M-C-1 CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE DEFINITION OF THE MONITORING AND OBSERVATION SYSTEM FOR ONGOING ASSESSMENT OF THE ADRIATIC SEA UNDER THE ADRIATIC SEA MONITORING PROGRAMME, PHASE II is financed by the World Bank and Ministry of Protection of Environmental and Nature. A consortium of scientific institutions in the next 16 month will carry out the project.

The scope of the second workshop of the Adriatic Sea Monitoring Programme – phase II (ASMP) is to introduce participants (employees of the Ministry of Environmental and Nature Protection, Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Ministry of Agriculture, representatives of local authorities, Croatian Environment Agency and employees in scientific institutions of the Republic of Croatia primarily occupied with monitoring, modeling and research in Adriatic Sea) into the present knowledge about the environmental status of the Adriatic Sea and to show how the EU Marine directives will be implemented throughout a development of an ecosystem monitoring and observing system for an ongoing assessments of the Adriatic Sea.

Registration can be completed by an on–line application up to November 20th, 2013. For registered participants an admission fee is not required and the organizers will provide refreshments, coffee breaks and welcome dinner. Hotel accommodation may also be booked through the on–line application.
