On 30 September 2025, the first-year students of the Civil Engineering and Geodesy Technical School in Split, course of study: geodesy and geoinformatics technician, accompanied by their teacher prof. Lucija Žižić, visited the tide gauge of the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia (HHI) in Split. This visit marks the ongoing valuable practice of regular student visits to the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia for the purpose of their professional education and training. Our colleague, Marko Mlinar, MSc in Physics, held a presentation about long-term measurements of sea level heights, i.e. the connection between geodesy, astronomy, marine physics, and meteorology. HHI, also, invited the students to visit the main office where they can learn more about the past and present application of the knowledge and expertise in geodesy and geoinformatics.
