Second and third-year pupils from the Gospić Vocational School, specialising in Geodesy and Geoinformatics Technology, visited the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia (HHI) on 21 May 2026, accompanied by the Head of the Gospić Regional Cadastre Office, Nina Stopić, BSc in Geodesy. The visit to the Institute was organised as part of their courses, Cartography and Geodesy in Environmental Protection.
A presentation on the activities, operations and work of the Croatian Hydrographic Institute was delivered by Dr Tonći Panžić, Assistant Director for Navigation Safety and Cartography.
The pupils also visited the in-house Hydrographic Museum, where they attended a brief lecture on the historical development of hydrographic services, from the earliest hydrographic surveys to the present day.
This visit continues a long-standing tradition of organised visits to HHI, aimed at the professional training of students and pupils, a practice that has been maintained for many years.
