New edition of Symbols and Abbreviations Used on Charts

The sixth edition of Symbols and Abbreviations Used on Charts has been published. This publication is based upon the standards for chart production of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO), contained in the S-4 Regulations for International (INT) Charts and Chart Specifications of the IHO (2012), and INT 1 – Symbols, Abbreviations and Terms used on Charts (7th edition, 2011). INT 1 contains complete symbols, abbreviations, and terms used on international as well as national charts, and in nautical publications of the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia. The publication is printed bilingually on 99 pages. The symbols with explanations in Croatian and English are shown on 65 pages, and the remaining part of the publication includes indexes both in Croatian and English.
