Information on the work of Hydrographic institute of the Republic of Croatia during the COVID-19 pan

We hereby inform you that, for the purpose of continuation of business activities in conditions of COVID-19 pandemic, and to ensure the health and safety of our employees and clients, the HHI has taken the following temporary measures:

  • Work of the HHI employees is organized in accordance with the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia on organization of the work of public administration bodies during the outbreak of COVID-19 disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus and Instructions to companies and organizational units of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure on the procedure concerning the restriction of movement and gathering due to the outbreak of new virus COVID-19 disease.
    In doing so, the HHI shall make every effort to ensure the regular course of business activities, including communication by phone or email. All business trips are prohibited, and field works restricted.
  • All visits to the HHI are prohibited until further notice.
  • It is recommended that in the forthcoming period all meetings (internal ones and meetings with clients) be held by videoconferencing. For this purpose, videoconferences can be arranged by agreement.
  • Working hours of the HHI remain as usual, Monday to Friday from 7.30 to 15.30.

Mariners are requested to notify the HHI Nautical Department of any changes on navigable waterways, if dangers to navigation are discovered, or changes to auxiliary navigational aids observed, or corrections to nautical charts and publications seen to be necessary.
