6. Međunarodna konferencija o pomorskoj znanosti – 6th INTERNATIONAL MARINE SCIENCE CONFERENCE - IMSC 2014. održava se 28. i 29. 04. 2014. u Solinu u hotelu President. Organizatori konferencije su Pomorski fakultet u Splitu i Fakultet za pomorstvo in promet iz Portoroža. Suorganizatori konferencije su Hrvatski hidrografski institut, Fakultet za pomorstvo Kotor te Vojno pomorska akademija iz Gdynie. Pokrovitelji su Ministarstvo pomorstva, prometa i infrastrukture, Lučka uprava Ploče, Plovput d.o.o., grad Solin i Hrvatski registar brodova. U ime Hrvatskog hidrografskog instituta, na svečanosti otvorenja, kraćim izlaganjem nazočnima se obratio ravnatelj doc. dr. sc. Nenad Leder.

IMSC 2014. se bavi suvremenim pomorstvom, sigurnošću plovidbe, očuvanjem morskog okoliša, hidrografijom, pomorskim informacijskim sustavima, financijama u pomorstvu, pomorsko pravnom regulativom, zdravstvom u pomorstvu, nautičkim turizmom, razvojem luka, razvojem modernih tehnologija za prijevoz tereta morem, ljudskim resursima, obrazovanjem u transportu i dr.
