HHI delegation attends Meeting of IHO Marine Spatial Data Infrastructures Working Group

The 14th Meeting of the IHO Marine Spatial Data Infrastructures Working Group (MSDIWG) took place in Genoa, Italy, from 30 January to 3 February 2023. The meeting was hosted by the Italian Hydrographic Institute. As part of the IHO cooperation with the UN and OGC, the following joint meetings were also held: 4th Meeting of the UN Working Group on Marine Geospatial Information (WG-MGI) and OGC Annual Meeting of the Marine Data Working Group (MDWG).

With more than 40 participants from 19 countries, HHI representatives Ena Sarajlić, Daniela Staničić and Goran Strinić, as members of the Croatian delegation, presented Croatian solution for MSDI as well as current achievements in the presentation and sharing of data within the HHI competence.

Most important topics on the agenda were future development of MSDI in the light of upcoming standard S-100, production of new version (3.0) of publication C-17, further development of MSDI as Digital Twin of the reality of marine environment and infrastructure.
