HHI na 16. Festivalu znanosti

Dana 16. travnja 2018. Hrvatski hidrografski institut sudjelovao je na 16. Festivalu znanosti, koji se održao od 16. do 21. travnja u 23 hrvatska grada. Sudionici su imali priliku upoznati se pobliže s radom HHI-ja i razgledati dio opreme koja se koristi za istraživanje mora (oceanologija), kao i navigacijska sredstva i nautičke publikacije. Među izloženom opremom mogli su se vidjeti izlošci iz stalnog postava Muzeja hidrografije (npr. heliograf) te suvremena oprema koja se koristi u današnje vrijeme (Niskinov crpac, strujomjer itd.).

Festival znanosti je manifestacija koja se u Hrvatskoj kontinuirano organizira od 2003. godine u cilju približavanja znanosti javnosti informiranjem o aktivnostima i rezultatima u području znanosti, poboljšavanjem javne percepcije znanstvenika, te motiviranjem mladih ljudi za istraživanje i stjecanje novih znanja. Organizatori Festivala znanosti su sveučilišta u Splitu, Zagrebu, Rijeci, Zadru i Osijeku u suradnji s Tehničkim muzejom Nikola Tesla i British Councilom, a pod visokim pokroviteljstvom Ministarstva znanosti i obrazovanja.
