1st meeting of the Hydrographic-Navigational Council in the new term

First meeting of the Hydrographic-Navigational Council in the new term was held on 13 October 2021 on the premises of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure.

The Hydrographic-Navigational Council has a president and nine members, who are appointed for a period of four years and dismissed by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure. It is an expert advisory body which, along with the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia, gives strategic direction and provides for the systematic development of hydrographic activity in the Republic of Croatia.

The Council in the new term consists of:

  • Zdravko Seidel, president of the Hydrographic-Navigational Council, on behalf of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure
  • Alen Rukavina, on behalf of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure
  • Mladen Novoselec, on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior
  • Ivan Radić, on behalf of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development
  • Slaven Jurišić, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia, Command of the Croatian Navy
  • Damir Šantek, PhD, on behalf of the State Geodetic Administration
  • Prof. Boško Pribičević, PhD, on behalf of the Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb
  • Tonći Panžić, PhD, on behalf of the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia
  • Ivan Barbalić, on behalf of the Croatian Chamber of Geodetic Engineers
  • Željko Samaržija, on behalf of Brodospas d.d.

The meeting was attended on behalf of the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia by the Director Vinka Kolić, the Assistant Director for Safety of Navigation and Cartography Tonći Panžić, and the Head of Legal, Personnel and General Department Ani Barišić.

Current state of the hydrographic activity and ongoing work of the Hydrographic Institute were discussed.
