From 8 to 12 June 2026, the Hydrographic Institute of the Republic of Croatia (HHI) hosted an advanced training course provided by Teledyne CARIS for colleagues from the HHI Cartographic department on the production of S-101 products within the framework of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) S-100 standard.

Throughout the five-day programme, the workshop focused primarily on the preparation and production of the next-generation IHO S-101 Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC). Through practical exercises utilizing CARIS S-57 Composer software, the participants underwent all key phases of S-101 data creation using sample datasets that allowed for updating, validation, and verification of the skills acquired.

This training has further strengthened the Institute's capacity to implement the S-100 standard, whilst contributing to the subsequent development of contemporary and standardised hydrographic products.
